Dayna and I set aside part of our giving each year for students raising support to participate in summer missions. We look forward to helping students experience ministry first hand.
This summer, around 3500 students will serve on over 140 stateside and 90 international summer missions with Cru. You can read about the different opportunities HERE
Our son Luke is going with an Athletes in Action mission and play with the Rochester Ridgemen baseball team. They will hold local skills clinics and share the gospel with the other teams.
Athletes in Action Baseball owns three collegiate summer teams...one in Alaska, one in Ohio, and one in New York. The Rochester Ridgemen play in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. Luke will be one of their pitchers. All of the players on that team are Christians committed to growing in Christ and wanting to minister in and through their sport. On the Rochester Ridgemen site you can review the roster, and when the season starts, follow their season.
Please pray for Luke that he will grow in his relationship with God, enjoy the experience, pitch well, and be better able to introduce his teammates to Jesus.
