A Quick Trip to Pennsylvania with GAIN

Last week I visited our Global Aid Network (GAIN) Logistics Center near Lancaster, PA. I loved seeing the huge warehouse in the middle of Pennsylvania farmlands and being with the team there.

I am working with GAIN on a project to improve their Mobile Packing Events, where churches or colleges put together food or supplies to be delivered to needy places around the world.

While I was there they loaded a shipping
container with medical supplies headed overseas.
These events are helpful for our Cru college ministry in the states as well.  Recently at the University of Southern California hundreds of students packed food and seeds.  Cru was able to involve many students they would not normally be in contact with.

GAIN hopes to be able to significantly multiply the number of these events and their ability to resource our national ministries in a way that provides credibility and access.

An added benefit of that trip was seeing Cara and Perry in Baltimore for a couple of evenings.  Perry is completing his degree program at Johns Hopkins, and they will be moving to Stanford University this summer for the next year or two.  That is far away, so I’m glad to see them as much as possible!

Thank you for your faithful partnership to help others experience God’s love and care,
